Who We Are

Interesting Military is an independent publication dedicated to exploring military history, technology, and strategy. We cover everything from ancient warfare to modern defense systems, with a particular focus on the machines, tactics, and people that shaped the outcome of the world's most significant conflicts.

Our Mission

We believe military history is too important — and too fascinating — to be locked behind dry academic language or buried in obscure archives. Our goal is to make this history accessible, engaging, and accurate. Every article we publish is thoroughly researched, carefully written, and designed to give readers a genuine understanding of the subject, not just a surface-level overview.

We don't glorify war. We study it — because understanding how and why conflicts happen is one of the best ways to appreciate the cost of peace.

What We Cover

Our content spans the full timeline of organized warfare:

  • Pre-WW2 — From ancient battles and medieval sieges to the mechanization of World War I.
  • World War 2 — The tanks, aircraft, ships, and strategies of the largest conflict in human history.
  • Cold War — Nuclear deterrence, proxy wars, jet fighters, and the space race.
  • Modern Era — Drones, cyber warfare, stealth technology, and 21st-century conflicts.

Our Standards

Every article on this site is held to a simple standard: would a knowledgeable reader learn something new from it? We cross-reference multiple sources, cite our images properly, and correct errors when we find them. If we're uncertain about a claim, we say so. History deserves honesty, even when the honest answer is "we don't know for sure."
